About Austin AI Hub

Austin AI Hub is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2025 and based in Austin, Texas. Our mission is to make AI education accessible to everyone and to apply AI for social good. We serve 500+ members including software engineers, data scientists, educators, healthcare professionals, students, small business owners, and career changers who share a curiosity about AI and its potential.

Austin is one of the fastest-growing technology hubs in the United States. Austin AI Hub exists to ensure that the benefits of AI reach beyond the tech industry. We bridge the gap between cutting-edge AI research and everyday practical application through free, hands-on programs led by PhD researchers and senior AI engineers.

Programs

• AI For Everyone Workshop Series: Hands-on sessions where participants build AI agents from scratch. No coding experience required. Led by PhD researchers and senior AI engineers. In person in Austin and online nationwide.
• AI After Hours: An in-person community networking series bringing together technologists, professionals, and newcomers at venues across Austin for conversations around AI and innovation.
• AI Innovation Challenge: A recurring competition where cross-functional teams prototype AI solutions to real-world problems, judged by venture capitalists and industry leaders.
• AI for Social Good: Partnerships with nonprofits fighting human trafficking to develop AI-powered tools that amplify their awareness and reach, with human-in-the-loop review for ethical standards. Partners include redM, Sentinel Foundation, and Magdalene House of Austin.
• Chai Chat Mentorship (Coming Soon): A free 1:1 mentorship platform with AI-powered matching connecting learners with experienced AI practitioners.
